Two Accidents Near College Park Result in Injuries

Fire and medical personnel remain on the scene.

Update, 10:55 a.m.: According to information from the Maryland State Police, five cars were involved in the accident on the inner loop of the Beltway, and five people were transported with injuries.

Five cars were also involved in the accident in the outer loop, and one person once transported with injuries.

Original story: Two separate accidents occurred Friday morning near College Park, both of which resulted in injuries.

One accident happened on the ramp from Route 1 toward the inner loop of the Beltway, and the other on the outer loop just before Kenilworth Avenue, said fire/EMS spokesman Mark Brady.

None of the injuries are life threatening, Brady said, though the number of people transported is unknown. Fire and medical personnel remain on the scene.
