Freight Train Hits Pickup Truck With 3 Inside At MD Crossing

A pickup truck with 3 people inside was hit by a train Thursday in Mt. Airy, Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services said.

According to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, crews were called to a set of railroad tracks in Mt. Airy around 7:40 a.m. Thursday after it struck a pickup truck.

MT. AIRY, MD — Three people in a pickup truck walked away from a crash scene with a freight train Thursday morning.

According to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, crews were called to the scene around 7:40 a.m. They found the pickup truck with front-end damage at the railroad tracks.

The three people in the pickup truck were evaluated by paramedics, but declined going to the hospital. No injuries were reported by anyone on the train, the fire department stated.
