Attempted Robbery Of Columbia Bank Reported

A bank in Columbia reported that a woman attempted to rob the financial institution and threatened an employee, according to police.

COLUMBIA, MD — A woman attempted to rob the Truist Bank located in the 8200 block of Snowden River Parkway in Columbia Monday.

According to the Howard County Police Department, the attempted robbery unfolded around 3:42 p.m. March 24. A bank employee told police that a woman walked up to the counter and showed a note that demanded money and threatened the employee.

But the suspect left without any money. No one was injured, the police department reported.
