The Blackwall Barn & Lodge Opens In Downtown Columbia With Locavore Menu

COLUMBIA, MD — The Blackwall Barn & Lodge has opened its second Maryland location in the Merriweather District of downtown Columbia.

The 12,000-square-foot eatery focuses on using seasonal and fresh ingredients known as "locavore."

Dishes include flaming crab dip, red brick chicken, braised duck ragu pasta and more. Signature cocktails include the tequila-based EspresSol Martini and Titan’s Massive Mary. Local farmers, watermen and ranchers will become partners with the restaurant as it relies on fresh ingredients produced within a 100-mile radius of the restaurant.

The Blackwall Barn & Lodge serves lunch and dinner daily Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. The eatery also offers brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Blackwall Barn & Lodge is located on the ground floor of the Juniper residential building.

Its other location is at 329 Gambrills Road in Gambrills.
