The Blackwall Barn & Lodge To Open In HoCo This Fall Featuring Locally Sourced Menu Items

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The second location of The Blackwall Barn & Lodge restaurant will open in Columbia this September.

Slated for the Merriweather District, the eatery will offer seasonally driven and locally sourced menu items along with live music. Local farmers, watermen and ranchers will become partners with the restaurant as it relies on fresh ingredients produced within a 100-mile radius of the restaurant.

The new location sits on the ground floor of the residential building, Marlow, and offers 12,000 square feet of space with each room telling its own story. The Blackwall Barn & Lodge will provide a venue unlike any other in Howard County with six unique areas for guests to dine in elegance, host special events and entertain friends, family and colleagues, the owners noted.

The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner from the main dining room and bar, accommodating around 100 people, with the capacity to host around 175 more guests in the event space. Each of the four reservable private rooms seat between eight to 18 people.

In preparation for the opening in September, The Blackwall Barn & Lodge aims to add 85 employees across all roles. The original location is in Gambrills.

Titan Hospitality Group also plans to open its third location of the popular Smashing Grapes concept in the District in the fourth quarter of 2023.
