CA and Downtown Columbia Partnership Host Family Fun at Lakefront

Free holiday activities take over Columbia Lakefront Dec. 8 and 15. Choral music, ice sculpture, arts and crafts, and more is included.

Columbia Association (CA) is lighting up the Columbia Lakefront for the holidays and will co-host two family events there with the Downtown Columbia Partnership.

Family Festive Fridays at the Lakefront are set for Dec. 8 and 15, from 5:30-8 p.m. The free events will feature ice sculpture, music, and arts and crafts. Attendees will be invited to test their slapshot skills and win prizes at activities hosted by CA’s Columbia Ice Rink, which will also feature an appearance by the Howard Huskies mascot.

Participating businesses include Offshore, Sushi Sono, The 3rd and Whole Foods Market. Register for Dec. 8 event here. Register for Dec. 15 event here.

CA is collecting items at the events for Howard County Animal Control. The following donations are sought: new fleece blankets and towels, toys, kitten formula, treats for cats and dogs, and bedding and food for guinea pigs and rabbits.

Attendees for Lakefront events are directed to park on the upper or lower levels of the Wincopin Garage, in the parking garage in front of Lakehouse, on the parking lots at Sterrett Place or at The Mall. There is no event parking allowed in the Whole Foods parking lots.
