Chipotle Mexican Grill To Open Another HoCo Site With A Chipotlane For Mobile Orders

Chipotle Mexican Grill will be opening its third Columbia eatery, but this one will have a Chipotlane for picking up mobile orders.

COLUMBIA, MD — The first Chipotle Mexican Grill with a drive-thru pickup lane for mobile orders only will open in Columbia at 9851 Broken Land Parkway.

This will be the third Chipotle restaurant in Columbia, but the first with what's called a Chipotlane. The restaurant chain reminded customers that the Chipotlane is not for placing orders, WMAR reported.

According to Chipotle, the company opened 62 new restaurants during its third quarter with 54 locations including a Chipotlane.

"These formats continue to perform well and are helping enhance guest access and convenience, as well as increase new restaurant sales, margins and returns," the company noted.

Chipotle had more than 3,300 restaurants as of Sept. 30, in the United States, Canada the United Kingdom, France and Germany, and is the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, according to the company.
