Fire Breaks Out In Basement Of Columbia Home

Investigators are looking into a fire that ignited Monday afternoon in the basement of a Columbia home. No injuries were reported.

COLUMBIA, MD — A fire broke out in the basement of a Columbia home Monday afternoon.

Firefighters with the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services arrived at the home, located in the 5100 block of Phantom Court, around 2:45 p.m.

They found a fire in the basement but were able to quickly bring it under control. Firefighters searched the home to make sure there were no injuries.
