Four Break-Ins, One Attempt: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Ellicott City: Break-In

Between 9:20 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Feb. 22, an unknown number of suspects broke a glass panel, reaching in to enter a residence in the 5100 block of Crestwood Lane. A resident heard the noise and the suspect fled. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 22, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear glass door of a residence on the 4600 block of Roundhill Road, ransacked a bedroom and stole a tablet computer and jewelry.

Between 7:45 a.m. and 2:35 p.m. on Feb. 22, an unknown number of suspects forced open a rear door of a residence on the 4600 block of Huntley Drive, ransacking the residence and stealing a tablet computer.

Columbia: Break-In

Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 22, a witness observed two unknown suspects cut a hole into the screen porch of a residence on the 6200 block of Parallel Lane. Police said the suspects stole alcohol and fled toward a pathway near the residence.

Columbia: Break-In Attempt

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Feb. 22, an unknown number of suspects attempted to pry open the door lock of a residence on the 10600 block of Gramercy Place, but failed to gain entry.
