Howard County Crime Roundup: Break-Ins, Robbery Attempt
The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Columbia: Commercial Robbery Attempt
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Jan. 30, an unknown suspect gave a note to a an employee of the pharmacy at Giant Food, on the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way, implying a weapon and demanding prescription drugs. The clerk called security, causing the suspect to flee.

Between 4:20 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Jan. 29, an unknown number of suspects tampered with the gate of a residence on the 9800 block of Davidge Drive, but failed to gain entry.
Savage: Commercial Break-In

Between 8 p.m. on Jan. 29 and 1 p.m. on Jan. 30, an unknown number of suspects broke a glass door of Savage Mill, on the 8600 block of Foundry Street, and stole potted plants.
Ellicott City: Commercial Break-In
Between 5 p.m. on Jan. 29 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 30, an unknown number of suspects entered a building at Ten Oaks Nursery, on the 12900 block of Triadelphia Road, and stole copper wire. Police said the incident is being investigated as possibly being related to a prior burglary at the same location.
Jessup: Commercial Break-In
Between 4 p.m. on Jan. 29 and 6:45 a.m. on Jan. 30, an unknown number of suspects entered the rear door of Compro Systems, on the 7700 block of Waterloo Road, stealing computers, monitors and other electronics.
Elkridge: Break-In Attempt
Between 6:50 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. on Jan. 31, an unknown number of suspects attempted to pry open a door of a residence on the 6600 block of Washington Boulevard, but failed to gain entry.
