Maryland Weather Forecast: Cooler Weekend, But Hot Week Around the Corner

The weekend will be sunny and clear, with some noticeable wind. But we'll soon see a surprising return to hot temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight lows will near 40 degrees Friday, leading forecasters to warn of the potential for some frost in areas of the state to the north and west.

Days will be pleasant, with a chance for some clouds Sunday and a possible shower Sunday night. The weekend highs will be in the 60s and climbing to near 70 on Sunday.

Next week, we'll be seeing the opposite of chilly mornings, with overnight lows at 60 degrees. The daytime highs could push close to 80 degrees.
