Photo of the Day: Coon Hunt Court Officially Renamed

The name change debate is over as the old sign comes down and a new one goes up.

Coon Hunt Court is no longer. On Monday, County Executive Ken Ulman and County Council member Calvin Ball joined local residents as the old street sign officially came down and the new one, April Wind Court, went up.

Residents submitted a petition for a name change of the street due to its racial connotations back in July. On Sept. 7, the zoning board unanimously granted the name change. April Wind Court is off of Thunder Hill Road.
