North Laurel: Break-In Attempt
At 10 p.m. on Sept. 7, a known suspect attempted to force open the front door of a residence on Alma Avenue, but failed to gain entry. Officers located and arrested the suspect and charged him with fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and trespassing.

Between 6 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 7 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 8200 block of Sandy Stream Road through an unsecured garage, stealing a GPS unit cell phone and laptop.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 7, an unknown number of suspects tampered with a phone box and alarm system at a residence on the 6900 block of Rawhide Ridge, but failed to gain entry.
Jessup: Vehicle Theft
At 3 a.m. on Sept. 5, a vehicle was stolen from a residence on the 8300 block of Stayton Drive.
