The list compiled by Chef Standards and published on MSN highlights the best place to grab sushi in each state. Writers selected restaurants that were “celebrated for their exceptional taste, innovative dishes and captivating ambiance.”
According to Chef Standards, Sushi Sono's menu features "classic sushi and sashimi, crafted with precision and the freshest ingredients."

"Located by the waterfront, the restaurant provides a serene ambiance for diners," Chef Standards wrote. "Sushi Sono's picturesque setting and quality offerings make it a favorite among locals and visitors. Ideal for those seeking a peaceful and authentic sushi dining experience in Maryland."
Many seem to agree with Chef Standards, based on the eatery's reviews on Google and Yelp.

"A perfect date night spot by the lake in Columbia! We loved the unique chef rolls they offer. The menu also features a wide variety of entrees and appetizers that we’ll have to come back to try," one person wrote.
"This place really does a good job of giving you that authentic Japanese restaurant feel, even the waitresses and sushi chefs wear a nice uniform to match the atmosphere," another raved. "The place is lovely and the setting near the water is beautiful."
"We have been coming here for years as part of our date lunches," another said. "My husband and I absolutely love the small and simple atmosphere. It feels intimate, but the natural light and being able to overlook the lake just makes it so calming."
