Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?
Madelynn has been dancing since preschool. Now as a freshman, she invests 20 hours in rehearsal, including six hours of ballet en pointe. Additionally, she volunteers as a student teacher for two classes at her dance studio. She is a member of her high school Poms team and practices three days a week.
In addition to her athletic arts, she participates in all gifted and talented courses and is a member of her high school’s Junior Dance Company.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?
As an artist-athlete, Madelynn focuses on not only skill, technique and strength but growth mindset as our own greatest competitor and critic. Competing in both solo and team events provides a unique opportunity to develop strength in mindset and physical skill.
Keep up the great work, Madelynn!
