What's Open, Closed in Howard County for the Fourth of July

Here's a list of closings for the Independence Day holiday.

To make sure Howard County employees get a chance to enjoy the holidays, many offices and amenities will be closed for the Fourth of July.

Offices will re-open for regular business hours on July 5.

Parking meters will be free on July 4

There will be no curbside collection on Thursday, July 4 – Thursday and Friday trash, recycling and yard trim collection will be on a “slide schedule,” pickup will be one day later than usual.  Find more information about slide schedules online.

  • Landfill an all trash and recycling services

  • Meadowbrook Athletic Center 
  • North Laurel Community Center
  • Robinson Nature Center 
  • Schooley Mill activity room
