What's Open, Closed in Howard County for the Fourth of July

To make sure Howard County employees get a chance to enjoy the holidays, many offices and amenities will be closed for the Fourth of July.

Offices will re-open for regular business hours on July 5.

Parking meters will be free on July 4. 

There will be no curbside collection on Thursday, July 4 – Thursday and Friday trash, recycling and yard trim collection will be on a “slide schedule,” pickup will be one day later than usual.  Find more information about slide schedules online.

• Howard Transit Brown, Green, Orange, Red and Silver routes  on a “Sunday” schedule

• Animal shelter

• Landfill an all trash and recycling services
• Cedar Lane activity room
• County historic sites
• Kiwanis-Wallas Community Center
• Gary J. Arthur Community Center
• Meadowbrook Athletic Center 
• North Laurel Community Center
• Robinson Nature Center
