Tricia Hudson, co-owner of Hudson Coastal Raw Bar & Grille and board chair of Visit Howard County, said her family's business has participated in Restaurants Week since they opened in 2016.
"The success of this campaign helps restaurants to thrive while introducing new cuisine to all who love to eat,” Hudson said. "This is an opportunity to sample culinary dishes from our county’s small businesses that are the backbone of our economy. Food enthusiasts can discover local gems from downtown Columbia to the smaller tucked in spaces like Highland, Maple Lawn and Glenwood. With the new year underway, you can discover restaurants with menus of healthy options to help you stick to your resolutions and to prepare for the warmer months ahead.”

Brian Gaylor, founder of Black Flag Social House in Marriottsville/Turf Valley, said his restaurant is about to wrap up its first year of operation and participating in Restaurant Weeks is an exciting opportunity.
"Our kitchen team, led by Chef Jonathan Hicks, comes with a wide range of experience from all over the state prior to finding us as a home. They love an excuse to push the boundaries and lend their experience to new specials. The community has really embraced this across the board - showing up to our monthly private chef's dinners and also filling the seats when we run weekly specials or participate in the Howard County Restaurant Weeks. We welcome everyone to come try our 20 house-made beers on tap and also see that our kitchen is truly elevating what you can expect from a brewpub," Gaylor said.
More than 40 locations are participating in the winter event. For a complete list of participating locations and for more information, visit hocorestaurantweeks.com.
