'Birdman' Super Fan's Sexual Abuse Charges Cause Social Media Stir

Gregory Hudnet, a former fire captain for Baltimore County, was arrested Wednesday after he turned himself in, police say.

Gregory Hudnet, 64, a Baltimore Ravens ultra fan known as the "Baltimore Birdman," often appears at Ravens rallies and other events dressed to the hilt in Ravens gear and paraphernalia.


He's also known as the owner of two classic cars, one painted Ravens purple and the other Orioles orange, that he enters in local parades and car shows.

Now, he's appearingΒ in the news afterΒ police charged him this weekΒ with sexual abuse of a minor.

Baltimore County police say that, on Aug. 22,Β a person who was a teenager between 2005 and 2008 reported abuse during those years, at various locations in the county.

Police investigated after the Aug. 22 report.

On Wednesday, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and Hudnet came to police headquarters in Towson, a news releaseΒ states. He posted $750,000 and was released.
