5 Seahawks Earn All-County Boys Lacrosse Honors

Of the 16 players named to the 2012 Anne Arundel County Coaches’ All-County boys lacrosse team, five play for , according to The Capital.

Attackman Ben Chisolm, attackman Jon Carr, midfielder Lavon Chaney, midfielder Chris Carr and defender Stephen Hincks were each recognized as some of the best players in the county after coaches elected them to the All-County squad.

Not only were the players acknowledged, but head coach .

It’s no surprise many Seahawks were named to the prestigious list. South River is heading into the 4A/3A Maryland Lacrosse State Championship undefeated—a perfect 19-0. While Noone said much of the team’s success is because of defense, four out of the five players on the list are offensive minded.

Chisolm, a junior who scored the game-winning goal in the state semifinals against Bel Air High, was also named to the 2012 All American list, The Capital reported.

Attackman Weston Butcher Jr. and defenseman Tyler King Jr. made the second team All-County squad and defenseman Jordan Kniesly received an honorable mention on the list, according to The Capital.
