Angry Consignors Plan Meeting to Discuss Repeats Consignment
The discussion on Thursday night will revolve around how to recover items from the owners of Repeats Quality Consignment, which was evicted in April.
Some people who consigned property to be sold at in Edgewater plan to meet on Thursday to discuss how to recover still-missing property.
Several consignors told Patch they are meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at , which is located next to the former consignment shop. They hope to connect with others to see what can be done to recover their property from the shop's owners.
Patch previously reported that the Anne Arundel County Sheriff's office evicted the consignment business from the South River Colony shopping center in April. Repeats Quality, owned by James and Patricia Lawler, consigned items such as clothes, furniture and other goods provided by local residents. The shop and consignors split the proceeds when an item was sold.

When the business , the Lawlers were reportedly able to salvage about 75 percent of the items and place them in storage units. James Lawler told Patch in May that some items were placed outside by eviction movers in the parking lot behind the store. Anne Arundel County law allows landlords to place tenant property in open areas following an eviction. Within 48 hours, all the items were reportedly removed.

Nearly six weeks later, many former consignors said they still don't know whether their items were stored or tossed into the parking lot.
