Anne Arundel Snow Day Shirts On Sale, Proceeds Help Students
New Anne Arundel snow day shirts honor the man who makes the phone call to cancel school. Sales will help send students to a competition.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Picture this. Snow is staring down Anne Arundel County, and families are wondering whether their students will have school the next day. The children go to bed with a spoon beneath their pillows and their pajamas on inside out, hoping for a snow day.
Then it happens. A man calls before dawn to announce that schools are closed. The kids rejoice when they hear that beloved voice, which belongs to Anne Arundel County Public Schools spokesman Bob Mosier.
New shirts are on sale to honor Mosier and fundraise for students. The shirts say, "Keep Calm Bob Will Call." The apparel also features a snowflake filled with a Maryland flag design.

The shirts cost $20.99 to $34.99. They are available in T-shirts, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies. Each style comes in several colors.
Residents have already bought 355 shirts, which made rounds during last week's two snowstorms. The shirts will be on sale through Saturday. Locals can buy theirs at this link.

Proceeds will benefit students at Edewater's Center of Applied Technology – South. This group hopes to participate in the SkillsUSA competition for career and technical students.
"Our students compete locally, at the state level, nationally and on the world stage if we are lucky," the shirt sellers said in their listing. "All this costs a lot of money, from uniforms, to tools, travel and more. We want every student, no matter their financial background to be able to participate."
Mosier also earned media attention when he sang a parody of Adele's "Hello" in a 2016 snow announcement.
