Boat Propeller Injury Sends Teen to Hospital

A 19-year-old boy suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon after he was cut by a boat propeller near the , according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department Lt. Cliff Kooser.

Firefighters and paramedics responded at about 1:45 p.m. to a report of an injured person at the 2800 block of Solomons Island Road near , Kooser said. Upon arrival, they found a 19-year-old boy with a laceration from a boat propeller.

Medics transported the teen to a trauma unit at Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly with serious but non life-threatening injuries, Kooser said.

Kooser did not know what part of the teen's body suffered the injury Sunday afternoon.
