Car Rolls, Catches Fire in Davidsonville Crash

The accident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. Friday but traffic is moving smoothly again, according to a source at the Southern District Police Station.

A two-car accident on Maryland Route 424 near U.S. Route 50 in Davidsonville caused significant traffic delays Friday morning, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department Chief Michael Cox.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the crash scene at about 7:50 a.m. Friday for a report of a two-car incident.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that one of the cars had rolled over and was on fire, Cox said.

Cox did not have information on any injuries suffered from the crash.
