Death Notices for Edgewater, Davidsonville

Esther A. Conte, 92, of Lothian. Survived by her three sons who all live in Lothian. Died on June 6. Born in Italy, Conte was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining her large family.

Victor Bertram Shoemaker, 94, of Annapolis. Survived by his wife Elizabeth, as well as his three children, who live in Edgewater, Davidsonville and Riva. Died June 5. Shoemaker served in WWII in multiple theatres and owned a masonry restoration firm known as ev-Air-Tight, Shoemaker Inc.

Vernon K. Wilde, 86, of Shady Side. Survived by his three children, his brother and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. Died June 4. Nicknamed "Whitey," Wilde's wife passed away Nov. 21, 2011. The 86-year-old served in WWII and enjoyed gardening.

Melissa A. Norman, 57, of Churchton. Survived by her four daughters and two grandchildren. Died June 4. Norman owned her own stencil design business for some time and enjoyed singing, playing guitar and horseback riding.

Betty Ann Quattro, 76, of Edgewater. Survived by her two children, grandson, former husband and many nieces and nephews. Died on June 1. Quattro enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

John A. Tayman, 74, of Davidsonville. Survived by his wife Susan, his previous wife, Mary Jane Voss Jacobsen, one son, two daughters, two step-sons and one step-daughter. Died May 31. Tayman served in the National Guard and enjoyed NASCAR, country music, doing yard work and his cat Emma.

Catherine "Cherry" Robinson, 90, of Davidsonville. Survived by her husband, two sons and four grandchildren. Died on May 30. Robinson was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville and worked for the FBI as a fingerprint analyst before getting married in 1942.
