Fall Festivals Abound in Davidsonville, South County
There's lots of fall, family fun to be had in the Davidsonville area this weekend.

The air has finally turned crisp and there are definite signs of fall in the air and on the ground throughout Edgewater, Davidsonville and South County.
Fall means pumpkin picking, cider drinking, hay riding and all the good things that come with fall festivals.
If you are looking to ring in Autumn with your family in the Davidsonville area, there are multiple options. Here's a quick rundown.
Dick & Jane's Farm, located at 4361 Solomons Island Rd. in Harwood doesn't host a fall festival, but there's still plenty going on there during fall weekends. Take your family on a hayride to a pumpkin patch, bring your own marshmallows and dogs for roasting in the campfire or wander through spots maze. Fees for activities vary, so check the website for details. Hayrides and campfires will be scheduled through Nov. 3. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
Greenstreet Gardens, located at 391 West Bay Front Rd. in Lothian is hosting its annual Fall Festival every weekend in October. Fun, family activities include a corn maze, a jumping pillow, an underground slide, an cow train ride, a hay bale maze, face painting, live music and more. The festival runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sundays in October.
Knightongale Farm, a 90-acre working farm located at 3924 Solomons Island Rd. in Harwood, will be hosting fall festivities every weekend in October. Pumpkin picking is just the beginning of the fun at this farm. There's a corn maze, pedal tractors and corn boxes for kids, a hay ride, pony rides as well as food, drinks and autumn decorations for sale. If that's not enough, there are farm animals available for the petting, all for no entry fee. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays in October.
Homestead Gardens, located at 743 West Central Ave. in Davidsonville, has been hosting its Fall Fest for more than 30 years. There's lots of fun to be had at this festival with a corn maze, hay rides, pony rides, pumpkin painting, a straw maze, several games and different scheduled events each weekend in October. Some activities are free, and other require tickets, which are available for $1 each, or $15 for a wristband that provides unlimited access to several attractions. The Fall Fest runs weekends in October from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Y Worry Farm, located at 1501 Rossback Rd. in Edgewater, is hosting Anne Arundel County Agricultural Day on Oct. 13. There will be live music, games, activities, face painting, live animal, pony rides and more. Pumpkin picking is available every weekend, but Agricultural Day is only this Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
