Man Reportedly Breaks Into Selby Sub Shoppe
Police are seeking information from the public that might lead to the arrest of an alleged burglar.
Update (9:57 a.m.)—Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man they said broke into the in Edgewater on June 9.
According to a police press release, a man wearing a collared shirt and baseball hat broke into the local sub shop, at 827 East Central Ave. The man took a cash register and an undisclosed amount of money, Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy told Patch in an email.
Using video surveillance, officers said they saw the man and his alleged vehicle, a late 1990s or early 2000s model Ford Econoline van, according to the release.

Police described the van as having a magnetic sign attached to the rear between the back window and license plate.
Anyone who might be able to help identify the alleged burglar pictured should contact police and ask for Detective Wheeler at 410-222-1965. Residents also can call the Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP. Phone calls are not recorded and callers remain anonymous, according to the release.
