Medics Transport 5 to Hospital in Route 2 Crash

The age and sex of those involved were unavailable, a fire department spokesman said.

Update (1:04 p.m.)—Five people suffered minor injuries Wednesday night in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 2 and Mayo Road, Anne Arundel County Fire Department Chief Michael Cox said.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident at 10 p.m. Upon arrival medics found five people hurt on the scene, Cox said. The crash involved a black minivan and a white SUV, Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesman Justin Mulcahy said.

The injured people were transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries, Cox said.

The fire department spokesman said he did not know the age or sex of the victims or how many cars were involved in the accident.
