Obituary: Alvin Eugene O'Dell, 75, of Davidsonville
Alvin O'Dell was the the owner and operator of O'Dell Logging in Davidsonville.

Alvin Eugene O'Dell, 75, of Davidsonville, died on Oct. 14 in his daughter's Harwood home after a five year battle with cancer.
Alvin, who lived in Davidsonville for 58 years, was born in Virginia and attended Old Southern High School. He went to work for his father's logging company before becoming the owner and operator of O'Dell Logging in Davidsonville and a partner in O'Dell Excavating.
He was a member of Weems Creek Baptist Church in Annapolis for 53 years and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family.
Alvin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene O'Dell; their three children, who all live locally; a sister; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 18 at Weems Creek Baptist Church, 600 N. Bestgate Rd. in Annapolis. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
