Patuxent River Road Sinkhole Finally Repaired
The sinkhole formed by Tropical Storm Lee is finally filled after nearly four months of repairs.
The sinkhole on Patuxent River Road that in September is finally fixed after the Department of Public Works (DPW) concluded the repairs and construction last week.
Tropical Storm Lee blew through south county in September, leaving and closed county fields and parks throughout the area.
Immediately following the sinkhole accidents, the DPW said it would take several weeks to and open Patuxent River Road. However, the holes weren’t filled for months following the tropical storm, leaving many to wonder when the road would be safe to use again.
