PHOTOS: Massive Sailboat Sighting Off Mayo Peninsula
The large sailboat cruised past a local shoreline most likely on its way to Baltimore's Sailabration.
More than 40 ships from 12 different countries are heading to Baltimore this week for the city's commemoration of the War of 1812.
Throughout the week, dozens of massive ships will be visible off local shores as they head to Baltimore Sailabration event in the coming days. Mayo resident Mary Lou Fultz snapped two quick pictures of a massive sailboat Wednesday morning.
The design of the ship looks similar to the HMS Bounty, currently docked in Annapolis and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to Monday.
