Plazuelas Finally Selling Beer, Liquor

After months of waiting, the local Mexican restaurant is now serving alcohol.

Observant drivers on Solomons Island Road may have realized that after months of waiting, is finally serving alcohol.

The local Mexican food restaurant's sign overlooking Route 2 reads "Finally serving beer, wine n' margaritas." After months of waiting, Plazuelas got its liquor license this past Monday.

For months,  was a “bring your own bottle” establishment. Due to its inability to obtain a liquor license prior to opening in December 2011, Plazuelas allowed its guests to bring their own alcoholic beverages inside the restaurant.

Owner Paul Loza was forced to host a because his establishment still didn't have its license in May.

However, local residents hoping to head south of the border for their dining options can finally add an authentic margarita to their meal.

The entire drink menu isn't complete, according to a worker at the restaurant, but margaritas, beer and wine are available.
