On Friday, April 10, Selby Sub Shoppe opened its doors for the final time. The eatery, which has been in business since 1977, is a local classic in the Edgewater area, known for its steak and cheese sub and pizza.

“I remember walking down to Selby Sub Shoppe with my sister when we would visit my grandparents and the Sub Shoppe was over where Pizza Boli’s went in. Then taking my son there after football games and practice as he was growing up. Sending prayers up for Amy and her family. It’s a sad day indeed.”
