School Board To Decide on Redistricting Proposals

Wednesday night's meeting in Annapolis may decide which redistricting proposals for south county schools move forward for public hearing.

The Anne Arundel County Board of Education will decide on Wednesday which redistricting proposals for south county schools, if any, will go forward to public hearing.

As listed on the Board of Education’s meeting agenda, the redistricting plan for students at , and received two additional scenarios after the board .

The new scenarios include redistricting students from Selby on the Bay to Mayo Elementary and redistricting all students living on or adjacent to Riva Road who are currently assigned to Central Elementary and redistrict them to Davidsonville Elementary,” according to the school board’s meeting agenda.

If the board decides go forward with a redistricting proposal for public hearing, it will be scheduled for 7 p.m. March 20 at .

The board also has time allotted Wednesday to receive public testimony on issues not listed on the meeting's agenda. Some parents have confirmed they plan on attending the meeting to bring more awareness to their about the .
