Seahawk Hockey, Soccer Playoff Bound

South River and Arundel could play for a regional title, as the MPSAA girls soccer tournament gets under way Thursday. 

The brackets for both the girls and boys state soccer tourneys have been released, as well as the bracket for field hockey. 

Here's a look at who the Seahawks will play. 


Girls Soccer

South River earned the second seed and will play either North Point or Great Mills. Arundel is the top seed in the Class 4A East bracket, and has earned a first-round bye. The girls will play either Glen Burnie or North County in the second round. Arundel and South River could face each other in the regional final. 

Boys Soccer

The Seahawks  earned a No. 6 seed in the Class 4A East bracket and will open on the road at Great Mills. 

Field Hockey 

South River earned a No. 2 seed in the Class 4A East bracket. South River has an opening round bye and will then face North Point.
