South County Seniors Find Homes for Abandoned Pets
The Annapolis SPCA partnered with the South County Senior Center in Edgewater to give new homes to abandoned dogs and cats.

As reported by The Baltimore Sun, local senior citizens played with and pampered potential pets as the SPCA of Anne Arundel County brought in four-legged friends to "strut their stuff." The Sun reported that pet owners have lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol and less stress than those who don't own pets.
The event, known as "Adoption Day," not only helps animals find homes, but also raises money for the local SPCA.
