South Maryland Little Leaguers Headed to State Championships
The 11-12 Little League All Stars won the district championship 21-2, and now head to compete in the state championships.

Tuesday was a great day for the 2012 South Maryland (SMLL) 11-12 Little League All-Stars with Brad Marceron, leading the hit parade as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Riverdogs to a 21-2 victory over Forest Park at Bottner Field in four innings.
Every player on the roster had at least one base hit for the tournament and everyone contributed either on defense or on the mound during the three-game tournament.

The biggest inning for SMLL was the third and Forest Park had no answer as Riverdogs scored 11 runs.
The SMLL All-Stars hit three home runs in the win. Home runs for All-Stars came when Alexander Rozner hit a three-run homer in the second inning and Marceron homered twice in the third inning—a three-run home run and a grand slam to put the game completely out of reach.

Andrew Kelly recorded the win for All-Stars. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out 11 of a possible 12 batters, walked none and surrendered two hits.
The game was never in doubt after the first, as the All-Stars scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back.
All-Stars increased its lead with seven runs in the second. Ryan Jack kicked things off with a single, scoring Ross Owens.
This team which consists of 12 players from the local area include Andrew Kelly, Ryan Jack , Alex Cordon, Alexander Rozner, Brad Marceron, Seamus Galway, Chris Arnold, Ross Owens, Nikko Boogades, Kyle Corder, Anthony Rowe, and Joey Wiggins.
This win moves the Riverdogs into the Maryland State Little League championships in Brunswick, MD starting on July 21.
