South River Baseball Falls to Broadneck 6-2

The Seahawks will play away at Annapolis High for their final regular-season game of the year.

South River's baseball team continued to struggle Friday afternoon as they lost their second game in a row, falling to Broadneck 6-2.

Out of their last five games, the Seahawks have lost four—sometimes in spite of their offensive performance. With six hits Friday, South River could only score two runs against the Bruins.

Jake Gratz worked the plate and picked off a runner coming in from third. Gabe Vertucci was all-in hitting two singles, a double and crossed home once.
