Southern High Gets a New Principal

Marc Procaccini will be leaving Old Mill as an assistant administrator to take over at Southern High.

The Southern Bulldogs are set to get a new principal before the start of the new school year, according to Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS).

Marc Procaccini, previously an assistant principal at Old Mill High, was named as the new principal at Southern High in a press release. He is one of 15 administrators assigned to new schools for 2012-2013. Procaccini is set to replace Patricia Plitt as principal at Southern.

At schools in Shady Side and Cape St. Claire, new principals haven’t been announced yet. Nine of the 17 total schools getting new administrators will have first-time principals when schools open in August.
