Here are 10 great comments from the Facebook discussion Tuesday. Some are personal, insightful, or just flat out entertaining.

Sheri Whitfield I could deal with it a lot easier if my recycle day was not Friday so most of my trash comes from the weekend and has to sit the whole week. Not to mention the huge raccoon that is enjoying the once a week pick up.

Will Robinson The new single trash pick up has become a disaster for this family of 5.

Lisa Miller I like the once-a-week pick-up. (Trucks came early to my street and wake us up around 6:30.) We recycle a lot, and this hasn't changed any habits... except now I wake up to the alarm clock every morning!

Amy Rosen Wilson This makes no sense if they are still only picking up recycling 1x a week. I always have more recycling than trash and need pick up 2x a week.

Ann Marie McNally Leinemann We recycle a ton but definitely need two trash pickup days because of dirty diapers! They stink!!!!!!

Summerlea Lee We still recycle the same amount but I do need 2 trash days!! My neighbors are going to hate me soon form all the dirty diaper smell!! Trust me its not a good one!!

Sue Evans Bogard Never lived anywhere where there was more than one collection per week. It was an expensive luxury.

Courtney Stirling Casey A great money-saver for the county. We are a large family and do not require trash pick-up more than once a week. Recycle more, trash less!

Softeyes McGillicutty I'm glad to hear that people with cats are unhappy because I really hate cats.

Melanie McQuigg Evans I like the one-day pick-up. We have 4 trash cans and 3 recycle cans. We fill all the recycle cans and only one trash can. Everyone should just buy more trash cans if they need it. There is no limit on the number of cans that can be picked up. I live on 14 acres and have not had a problem with raccoons getting in the trash. I too have diapers and cat litter.
