Top 5: ATW Closes its Doors, Iron-Mom Raises Funds

1. ATW Closing Up Shop in Edgewater
After more than 20 years, ATW Hardware and Supply in Edgewater is closing its doors for good. The store opened on Pike Ridge Road in 1988, and owner Ted Kramer said lack of business led to the decision to close.

2. Edgewater Mom Gears Up for Ironman
Edgewater mom Rachelle Synoracki, will bike, swim and run for 104.6 miles all while raising money for a worthy cause. On July 28, Synoracki will compete in the Lake Placid Ironman, which includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run—or “crawl” at that point Synoracki jokes.

3. Woman, 19, in Critical Condition After Riva House Party
Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an apparent house party in Riva after a 19-year-old fell down the stairs Thursday and suffered serious head injuries.

4. Real Fire Liquor License Approved by Board
The Anne Arundel County Liquor Board approved Real Fire Brazilian Grill’s liquor license application on Tuesday. 

5. Edgewater Student Takes Artistic Talents to Bookstore
Edgewater Books may not be opening for another month, but local student Nick Davidowski is hard at work painting a mural on the walls of the store.
