No. 2—

A wind and rain storm that many weren't expecting hit Anne Arundel County about 10 p.m. Friday and roared through the area leaving toppled trees, scattered debris and power outages.

Last Saturday just before 6 p.m., Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) showed more than 93,000 outages in the county—with power restored to nearly 18,000 customers since Friday—on the BGE online outage map. At 9:25 p.m., the map showed that 28,758 had power restored. BGE warned that it could take days to fully restore power.

No. 3—

Anne Arundel County fire officials said they “anticipated and expected” as the week progressed while BGE continues to get its power grid up and running.

Wires fell all over the county, some in heavily wooded areas, fire spokesman Lt. Cliff Kooser said. As BGE turns on its grid throughout the county, where the wires are grounded or not properly secured.

A man , taking a purse and its contents, according to an Anne Arundel County Police Department press release.

The woman told police she saw a man she didn’t know exiting her house through an open door. The homeowner left her windows and doors open because , according to the press release.

A mother whose son was in the fatal car accident that killed Kevin O'Brien, is seeking the  throughout the ordeal last Friday. The young man told his parents that an unidentified man stayed with him at the scene of the accident and kept him calm until paramedics arrived.
