Woman, 19, in Critical Condition After Riva House Party
Police said the teen had been attending a party with underage drinking early Thursday morning.

Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an apparent house party in Riva after a 19-year-old fell down the stairs Thursday and suffered serious head injuries.
At approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to Anne Arundel Medical Center after a 19-year-old female was brought in suffering from head injuries, according to a release. Police determined friends brought the teen to the hospital.
An initial investigation revealed that the 19-year-old had been attending a party in the 400 block of Granville Drive in Riva when she allegedly fell down a flight of stairs. Police said evidence suggested the teen was under the influence of alcohol.

Police said several other underage individuals also appeared to have been drinking, and after officers secured the home, everyone at the house was interviewed and processed for evidence.
The 19-year-old female is listed in critical condition at Shock Trauma in Baltimore, the release stated. The cause of her injuries remains under investigation.
