County Seeks Volunteers to Serve on Commission on Disability Issues

Howard County is seeking applicants who are interested in serving on the Commission on Disability Issues.  

The commission is comprised of 15 voting members who include people with disabilities, service providers, family members of people with disabilities and the community-at-large, with members serving five-year terms. 

The Commission advises government officials on issues affecting people with disabilities and provides guidance and recommendations on Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.  

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be Howard County residents, 18 or older, have an interest in disability services, and be able to attend the Board’s meetings which are held the third Monday of each month from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Gateway Building, 6751 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 300 in Columbia.
