Beginning Dec. 9, 2011 through Jan. 13, 2012, each fire station in Howard County will serve as a drop off site for non-perishable donations for the Howard County Food Bank.
Citizens are highly encouraged to stop by their local fire station and give what they can.
Also at each fire station through Dec. 23 is a Toy Drive drop box for the Phoenix Sentinels, an affiliate chapter of the International Association of Black Professional Fire Firefighters.
