Man Shot At Ellicott City Restaurant In Domestic Incident, Suspect Arrested: HCPD
A 60-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested after police say he shot a man at an Ellicott City restaurant in a domestic incident.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A 60-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested and charged in connection to a non-fatal shooting that happened Saturday night at The Mint Room restaurant located at 9469 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City.
Howard County Police say the incident was domestic related. They were called to the scene shortly before 9 p.m. for a report of shooting. The victim who was shot was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police believe Barry Batson and the victim had a previous altercation that led to the shooting.
Batson was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted second-degree murder. No one else was injured. The motive remains under investigation, the police department stated.
