Masked Man Threatens Employees with Knife

A masked man tried to rob a local business at knife-point, according to Howard County police.

Police say a masked man entered the   at 3301 Ridge Road at about 2:15 p.m.  

The suspect threatened two employees, and demanded money. One victim ran out of the front door and shouted "robbery," according to police.

The suspect ran without getting money, according to police, and officers responding to the area caught and detained him. 

An Ellicott City man was charged with two counts of attempted robbery; four counts of assault, two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of concealing a deadly weapon.
