Public Can Attend Meeting To Highlight Oaktree Stormwater Pond Replacement Project
The community can attend an upcoming meeting to discuss the Oaktree Stormwater Pond replacement project that will start next year.
COLUMBIA, MD — The community can attend a June 10 meeting to learn more about a project designed to repair the Oaktree Stormwater Pond near 9238 Curtis Drive in Columbia.
The proposed project calls for the replacement of the old metal outlet structure with a new concrete outlet structure, which will provide a longer service life and bring the pond into compliance with Maryland Department of the Environment requirements. The project is expected to start construction in the spring of 2026 and weather permitting, be completed by fall 2026.
The informal meeting will include an overview of the design and a question-and-answer discussion. County staff and the project’s design consultant will also be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.
