Crime Beat: Homes, Businesses Burglarized in Essex

Here are recent crimes reported to the Essex Precinct:

Greythorn Road, 2200 block, Aug. 4: A laptop computer was stolen after an unknown suspect entered the home through a rear kitchen window.

Lannerton Road, 700 block, Aug. 1-3: A lawnmower, weed eater, pressure washer and four Power Wheel ATVs were stolen from a shed. Total loss: $2,387.

Sherman Avenue, 700 block, Aug. 3: Between 5:30 and 10 p.m., someone entered through an unlocked basement window and stole an iPod, 36 packs of cigarettes, a passport, a computer bag and a bank with coins. Total loss: $806.

Tailspin Lane, 9800 block, Aug. 2: Two dryers and a washer were destroyed and the coin boxes were removed from a laundry room of an apartment building at the Commons at White Marsh.

Eyring Avenue, 100 block, Aug. 2:  A ladder, steel tool box and copper tubing were stolen from a company truck belonging to General Heating and Cooling. Total loss: $707.
