New York Man to Face Trial for Middle River Murder

A New York man accused of shooting a Middle River man last January is set to face trial.

Police said last year that Quincy Jackson, 44, of the 900 block of Washington Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, shot and killed 41-year-old Nathan Bowles on Jan. 8, 2011.

Police responded to the 9800 block of Langs Road that evening for a report of shots fired. There they found Bowles' body. He had been shot multiple times. The gun used in the shooting was left at the scene.

According to police, investigators found that the victim had been in an affair with a woman from Brooklyn, and that the woman's husband had threatened to kill Bowles before.

Jackson is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault and handgun use in a violent crime. He was arrested in New York and extradited in March.

The trial is set to start on at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 in Baltimore County Circuit Court, and is scheduled to last seven days, according to online court records.
