  1. St. Patrick's Day Street Festival 2018, 100 Gibbs St., Rockville: Come out to Rockville Town Square for Green Beer and Jameson specials. Kick off everyone’s favorite drinking holiday of the year with Bar Louie’s Shamrock ‘N Roll 2016. We’ll keep the party going with live entertainment & all-day drink specials: $4 Green Beer and $5 Jameson. Plus, the NCAA Tourney begins! DJ starts at 10 p.m.
  2. Union Jack's at Rio Presents Shamrock & Roll, 9811 Washingtonian Blvd., Gaithersburg: Union Jack’s has put together a blockbuster lineup this St. Patrick’s Day. Both bands interaction with the crowds are unparalleled in this region. It all starts with Montgomery County’s own, The Reagan Years. The East Coast Orignal ’80s Tribute Band, they have been headlining packed houses since 1996. Their play list includes Pop, Big Hair Bands, New Wave, and Rock hits from this first video decade. Then Union Jack’s closes with Annapolis’ own Irish rockers, Dublin 5. They have taken the Celtic music scene by storm thanks to an eclectic mix of traditional roots and blazing instrumentals with an amped up rock twist.

Celebrate it in style in McGintys with live music upstairs and downstairs. They will be showing March Madness basketball plus the little soccer game between Man United and The Mighty Liverpool which kicks off at 3 p.m.

  7. The 19th Street Band, Harp and Fiddle, 4844 Cordell Ave, Bethesda: Caolaidhe came from Holywood, Northern Ireland to the U.S. eleven years ago to pursue a music career. Fate crossed his paths with fiddler, Meghan, in 2007. They instantly had an infectious musical connection. Becoming “partners in crime” and partners in life, they have been performing and writing music together ever since. They bring high energy and genuine joy to the stage, instantly forming a bond with the audience.
